AI in the company: Microsoft Copilot and Claude, from choice to setup
I help bring AI into the company so that people actually use it and data stays under control: Microsoft Copilot and agents in Microsoft 365, Claude for documents, email and servers, models through Microsoft Foundry in your Azure subscription.
Microsoft Copilot
I run Copilot from the admin side: licences and who gets what, the Frontier program for early features, Copilot Cowork, the agentic mode that carries out multi-step tasks in Outlook, Teams and documents, usage-based billing for such features, permissions for agents and external models, including Anthropic inside Microsoft 365.
Agents in Copilot Studio: an assistant for internal documents and company rules, answers from a knowledge base, published to Teams and Copilot. Microsoft Agent 365: inventory and control of agents as their own identities, including the ones staff set up on their own.
Claude
Claude by Anthropic is my main working tool: scripts, server and cloud administration, documents, correspondence, this website. I roll Claude out in companies as well.
- Claude Code connected to Microsoft 365: mail, calendar, SharePoint, Teams, and to servers over SSH.
- Claude in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook through the Claude for Microsoft 365 add-in.
- Claude models through Microsoft Foundry inside your Azure subscription: no new vendor, no separate invoices.
- Access and admin consent for connecting to data, rules on what may be connected and what may not.
Solutions on Microsoft Foundry
When an off-the-shelf product is not enough: answers from internal documents, automatic processing of incoming mail and invoices, an assistant in a Teams chat. I pick the model for the task and budget and deploy it in your Azure subscription.
Where I start
- A conversation about where staff lose time.
- One or two scenarios for a pilot with a small group.
- Rules: what may be sent to AI and what may not.
- Measure: is it used or not. Then expand.
Questions and answers
Copilot or Claude?
Usually both. Copilot lives inside Microsoft 365 and sees the company's mail, calendar and files. Claude is stronger with long documents, code and administration. Which licences and for whom is decided by the tasks.
Where does the data go?
With Microsoft Copilot, data stays in the tenant and is not used to train models. I connect Claude through Microsoft Foundry in your Azure subscription or through an Anthropic business plan. In both cases I configure exactly what the tool can reach.
Does every employee need Copilot?
No. We usually start with the people who work most with mail and documents, look at real usage, and expand.
What is an agent?
A program given a task, access to data and tools. It works through the steps to the result by itself and asks for confirmation on important actions. In Microsoft 365 that is Copilot Cowork and Copilot Studio agents; at Anthropic it is Claude Code and Cowork in the Claude app.
Tell me which tasks you want to speed up and what you have already tried. I'll propose a pilot.
